EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND

Alan Gray started his work toward becoming a professional Urban and Regional Land Use Planner in the year 2000. After graduating from the University of Alabama New College Program with several awards and recognitions for his work in Environmental Studies he was accepted into the Graduate School for Urban & Regional Planning from the Geography Department at the University of Alabama. 

He held good standing with the Southeast Division of the Association of American Geographers and presented work across the United States. 

PROFESSIONAL WORK

Since 2006 Alan Gray has worked for 36 local governments, the West Florida Regional Planning Council, the City of Pensacola, and run First City Planning & Development since the end of 2014.

AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PLANNERS

After earning the B.S. and M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning Alan worked the required years for the professional experience needed to sit for the AICP Exam. He was granted Certified status by the American Planning Association in 2011.
